Instructions for Concept

In this program you are presented with a series of shapes in the top half of the screen. Each of these shapes is to be sorted according to a simple rule that you have to discover for yourself. In the lower half of the screen you will see an unchanging display of:

a small red square,

a medium green circle and

a large blue triangle.

Your task is to sort the shapes on the top half of the screen into 3 piles as represented by the shapes on the bottom part of the screen. For each shape presented you indicate whether you think it should be sorted as:

a small red square,

a medium green circle or

a large blue triangle.

by moving the pointer over the chosen icon on the bottom part of the screen and SELECTing that icon by pressing the left mouse button once.

If you are correct a green tick - will appear in a small box on the bottom. A voice will also say *'RIGHT'*.

If your choice was wrong an X will appear in the same spot. A voice will also say *'WRONG'*.

You only have one chance to sort any one shape - so after you have made your decision a new shape will appear. The only tricky part of the program is that the rules by which the computer wants the shapes to be sorted can change without warning.
