The basic intention of the cognitive rehabilitation programme is to provide an appropriate level of both stimulation and intellectual challenge in a highly motivating form.
The rehabilitation suite consists of computer programs that are used to improve memory, concentration and logic There are several important features common to all programs. The programs are enjoyable to use, robust, and easy to operate. All of the performance measures are available for monitoring and storage using any of our control systems. Additionally all of the more recent programs are automatically adaptable to the patient's current performance over a wide range of abilities. Although the material was written for head injury survivors, it has been used successfully in other centres with stroke patients, geriatrics, children with and without learning disability and Alzheimer's sufferers.
